AXEL, one of the leading manufacturers and suppliers of lubricating greases in the U.S., with its companies AXEL Americas and AXEL Royal, said it will proceed with its multi-million dollar expansion and improvement plan across its three plants in the U.S.A.

This plant expansion and improvement plan at the company’s ISO-certified facilities comes in response to growing customer demand for its industrial greases and a strong commitment to bringing all AXEL facilities in line with the company’s high global standards for product quality, safety, and the environment.

The investments at AXEL’s facilities include increasing its dedicated calcium sulfonate complex line capacity in Rosedale, Mississippi, through new kettle additions, the installation of two state-of-the-art high-speed cartridge filling lines and several equipment investments and enhanced operational processes to greatly reduce bottlenecks in the Tulsa, Oklahoma, and Schertz, Texas, facilities. These investments are designed to increase productivity, throughput, and overall capacity and bring the latter two facilities to AXEL standards through quality assurance, safety, and work condition improvements.

“Our acquisition of Royal Manufacturing’s assets last year and our continued investments in our facilities demonstrate our strong commitment to growth in the region,” said Tom Schroeder, president, AXEL Americas. “These investments will increase our flexibility and production capacity and optimize our operations and will also ensure that all our facilities meet the same high quality, safety and environment standards of the global AXEL Group.”

“Over the past 15 years, the AXEL Christiernsson Group has expanded dramatically to become a leader in the global lubricating grease market, and last year we achieved record growth and market share,” said Johan Stureson, AXEL Christiernsson CEO. “This growth is the result of the trust bestowed on us by our customers, our commitment to quality and our investments in our people, processes, and plants. We will continue with these investments to further strengthen our client partnerships and we look forward to creating new partnerships in the future.

AXEL, with its companies AXEL Americas and AXEL Royal, is one of the leading suppliers of lubricating greases in the U.S. market and a part of the AXEL Christiernsson Group. AXEL is part of the Fairford Group and its headquarters are located in Nol, 20 minutes north of Gothenburg, Sweden.

During the last 15 years, the AXEL Group has expanded dramatically to become one of the leading global producers and suppliers of lubricating greases, with state-of-the-art ISO certified manufacturing facilities in Sweden, France, the Netherlands, and the U.S. AXEL is a grease supplier to many of the leading lubricant companies around the world.
