Bahrain’s AJM Kooheji launches premium diesel engine oil in association with Chevron

Bahrain-based AJM Kooheji Group, in association with U.S.-based Chevron, has launched a premium diesel engine oil—Caltex Delo 400 MGX SAE 15W-40.  Present during the recent product launch held at Bahrain’s Elite Resort and Spa Muharraq, was Leonard J. Badal Jr, global commercial brands manager, who is responsible for the Delo brand and product line strategy for heavy duty diesel engine oils, coolants, greases, and automotive gear oils within Caltex’s family of lubricants.

Delo 400 MGX SAE 15W-40 is an API CJ-4 heavy duty engine oil specifically formulated for on-highway and off-highway applications using either high sulphur or low sulphur diesel and can also provide protection for newer compliant low emission diesel engines with Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR), Diesel Particulate Filter (DPF) and Exhaust Gas Recirculation (EGR).

It is fully compatible with previous diesel engine models and previous API Oil Service Categories including API CI-4 PLUS, API CI-4 and API CH-4. It is specifically formulated for exceptional performance in either high (up to 2,000 parts per million or ppm) or low sulphur diesel fuels and for the latest low emission diesel engines fitted with diesel particulate filters, but also those fitted with EGR and/or SCR systems.

“Given the fact that the GCC and Middle East region has a mix of low and high sulphur diesel fuel ranges—anywhere from 15 to 5000ppm—we felt the need to introduce a new Delo 400 product to perform across these wide ranges without having to switch to a different diesel engine oil depending on what fuel they are using,” Badal said.

Also present during the product launch was AJM Kooheji Group Chief Operating Officer Vineet Mathur, who said Delo’s industry-leading lubricants have logged million kilometres and countless hours providing superior protection to diesel engine parts so vehicles and equipment operate smoothly.

“One of the appealing benefits offered to customers is the synthetic-like performance at the cost of mineral products, which significantly reduces premium lubrication costs,” said Adriaan J. de Kok, Gulf and Middle East area business manager for Chevron Al Khalij, the registered branch name in the UAE of Chevron Asia Pacific Holdings.

Operating in the UAE for more than 35 years, Chevron Al Khalij markets a wide range of Caltex-Delo branded lubricants across the region.
