BHPetrol has launched Infiniti Euro5 Diesel in Malaysia’s Klang Valley. BHPetrol, which launched the product in Johor last November, was the first company to offer Euro 5-compliant diesel fuel in Malaysia.

Boustead Petroleum Marketing Sdn Bhd, which is a member of the Boustead Group of Companies, has more than 320 service stations under the BHPetrol brand.

The Klang Valley launch was held on Aug. 30 at BHPetrol’s flagship station near the Sungai Besi Highway Toll in Seri Kembangan. The new Infiniti Euro5 Diesel is sold at the government-regulated price of MYR 2.05 (USD 0.49) per litre. It will be rolled out across selected Klang Valley stations in the coming weeks.

Among those present at the launch were Tan Kim Thiam, managing director, and James Khoo, retail director, Boustead Petroleum Marketing Sdn Bhd.

Attendees were treated to a presentation on the benefits of Infiniti Euro5 Diesel, which contains a low sulphur content of 10 parts per million (ppm), compared to Malaysia’s current Euro 2M specification of 500 ppm.

With the introduction of Infiniti Euro5 Diesel, Khoo said he hoped that the automotive industry will be encouraged to introduce more vehicles with advanced diesel engines that operate on Euro 5 diesel fuel.
