Brenntag expands into Southern Italy with acquisition
Brenntag, the global leader in chemical distribution, announced an agreement on February 5th to acquire a chemical logistics site from Chimica D’Agostino in Bari, Italy.
The 35,000 square meter facility strengthens Brenntag’s presence in Southern Italy and optimizes its regional network. Combined with an existing site in Anagni, it enables enhanced service on both the Adriatic and Tyrrhenian coasts.
“The location perfectly fits our strategy to grow service offerings and be the most trusted supplier across all industries,” said Ignazio Vullo, president of Brenntag Essentials EMEA South.
The Bari site includes tank storage, powder warehousing, blending capabilities and more. It will expand Brenntag’s last-mile delivery options to better serve regional customers.
The investment comes under Brenntag Essentials’ “Strategy to Win”, which aims to increase the company’s footprint to improve proximity and market position. Brenntag connects customers and suppliers as the global leader in chemical and ingredient distribution.
