Seaport Global Securities Expands Equity Research & Sales Team
- #SGS--Seaport Global Securities LLC (“Seaport Global”), a full-service
investment bank, today announced that it has expanded its equity
research and equity sales team with the addition of Managing Director
and Senior Analyst Mike Urban, Director and Senior Analyst Sonny
Randhawa, Managing Director and Equity Strategist Frank Longman, CMT,
Equity Strategist Todd Jacobs and Managing Director and Institutional
Salesman Timothy Devir. Mike and Sonny bring a combined 24 years of
research experience covering Oilfield Services & Equipment. Frank and
Todd bring 23 years of experience, adding technical analysis and
portfolio strategy to the firm’s equity research product. And Timothy
brings 23 years of experience in equity sales and the buy side.
Mike Urban was previously Director and Senior Equity Analyst at Deutsche Bank Securities, Inc., which he joined in 2000 to cover Oilfield Services. He also covered oilfield services at Donaldson, Lufkin and Jenrette (DLJ). Prior to DLJ, he served as an investment banker and co-founder of the Global Oil & Gas Group of Fieldstone Private Capital Group. In addition, Mike worked as an investment banker in the Energy Investment Banking Group of Prudential Securities. Mike holds a BA in Economics and Public Policy Studies from Duke University.
Sonny Randhawa was previously a Senior Analyst at DA Davidson & Co. covering Oilfield Services. Prior to that, he covered Oilfield Services at Miller Tabak + Co., LLC, Banc of America Securities LLC and Friedman Billings Ramsey Group, Inc. Earlier in his career, Sonny worked at KPMG and Arthur Anderson providing economic and valuation services to the energy industry. Sonny holds an MBA from the Jesse H. Jones Graduate School of Management at Rice University and a BBA from the University of Texas.
Frank Longman was previously Managing Director, Active Equity Strategies, at Brean Capital. Prior to that, he was a portfolio manager and founding partner of Timberline Capital Partners, and a proprietary trader at SWS Group. He received a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from Fordham University and is a CMT charterholder.
Todd Jacobs was previously at Brean Capital. Prior to that he was VP of Operations and Trade Execution at Florida Technology, Inc. and VP of Equity Operations/Trading at Timberline Capital Partners, LLC. Todd holds a BS from Michigan State University.
Timothy Devir was previously a Managing Director at Guggenheim Securities, covering large hedge funds and asset managers. Prior to that, he was at Cowen & Co. and Morgan Stanley. He also spent a few years on the buy side at Pennsylvania Schools Retirement System. Timothy received a Bachelor’s degree in Business with a concentration in Finance from the University of Maine.
