Smithers Viscient Experts to Offer Six Presentations and Lead Panel Discussions at 2017 ACS National Meeting and Expo

or lead discussions at the 2017 American Chemical Society (ACS) National
Meeting and Exposition being held August 20-24 in Washington, DC.
Included on the event’s agenda will be:

Two Panel Discussions Co-chaired by Smithers Viscient Scientific Leaders:

  • Ron Biever, Chief Scientific Officer, will co-chair the session
    titled “Tiered Testing for Pollinator Protection: Experiences in
    Design, Implementation & Interpretation.”

  • Sean McLaughlin, Research Director, et al. prepared “Soil
    Metabolism of [14C]Atrazine in Two Soil Types Using Various
    Soil Aliquot Sizes.”
  • Dr. Kalumbu Malekani, North American Technical Director, et al.
    prepared, “Are Additional Solvent Extractions in Soil/Sediment
    Laboratory Studies Really Necessary?” Dr. Malekani was recently
    appointed to the Executive Committee of ACS’s AGRO Division.
  • Kristen Rathjen, Biologist, et al. prepared, “Novel Analytical
    Determination of Active Ingredient Concentration in Royal Jelly and
    Sucrose Diet Solutions.”
  • Dr. James Ferguson, Senior Scientist, et al. prepared,
    “Identification of New Metabolites of a Pesticide in an Anaerobic
    Aquatic Metabolism Study.”
