Castrol unveils VECTON lubricant for Ford trucks in Europe
Castrol has unveiled its latest innovation for commercial vehicles, the VECTON 5W-30 F-TRUCKS CK-4 lubricant, specifically designed to meet the needs of Ford Trucks’ vehicles. The new product aligns with Ford Trucks’ WSS-M2C213-A1 specification, adhering to the ACEA E6 and E9 standards, and is tailored for F-Max trucks featuring the advanced Ecotorq Euro 6 engine.
The launch supports Ford Trucks’ expansion strategy across Europe, addressing the growing demands of the modern commercial vehicle sector. This high-performance lubricant complies with the API CK-4 specification, ensuring it meets stringent European regulatory and operational requirements.
Modern trucks, with their increased torque—up to 30% higher compared to previous models—experience greater engine temperatures and pressures, which can lead to oil degradation. Castrol VECTON 5W-30 F-TRUCKS CK-4 tackles these challenges with its innovative System Pro Technology™, delivering up to 45% extra performance reserve (EPR). This technology protects against oil breakdown by combating oxidation, reducing deposits, neutralising harmful acids, and resisting viscosity loss, enabling extended drain intervals and enhanced engine protection.
The lubricant is now available in 208-litre drums through authorised distributors, offering a reliable solution for Ford Trucks’ growing customer base.
