Chevron Oronite announces senior leadership change

Chevron Oronite announced the appointment of Colleen Jones-Cervantes as president of Chevron Chemicals and Change Management, effective April 1, 2021. Jones-Cervantes’ role includes leading Chevron Oronite Company. She succeeds Bruce Chinn, who has been appointed to the position of chief executive officer, Chevron Phillips Chemicals Company.  

Jones-Cervantes has held numerous positions of increasing responsibility in the Downstream & Chemicals organization in the United States, Philippines, and Singapore. In her previous position, Jones-Cervantes oversaw Chevron’s global lubricants business and most recently played a pivotal role in Downstream & Chemicals’ organizational transformation. She will retain her change management responsibilities in her new role.

“The selection of Colleen Jones-Cervantes as president, Chevron Chemicals and Change Management, was based on her proven leadership and relevant experience. She will oversee the continued expansion of our chemicals, fuel and lubricant additive business,” said Mark Nelson, executive vice president, Chevron Downstream & Chemicals.  

Jones-Cervantes joined Chevron in 1983 after receiving her bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from Michigan Technological University.
