Chevron Philippines Inc. (formerly Caltex Philippines) said Euro 4-compliant gasoline products are now available at its service stations in Metro Manila and other major cities.

Chevron Philippines said in a statement that Euro 4 Caltex with Techron gasoline would be available nationwide by the end of the year.

“Combined with the introduction of cleaner fuel standards such as Euro 4, motorists can be assured that their engines will be equipped with specially-formulated ingredients which would not only keep engines clean but also offer maximized power, better fuel economy, smoother drive, lower emissions and reliable performance,” according to Chevron Philippines.

The introduction of Euro 4 fuel products in the Philippines is driven by the Philippine Clean Air Act and Energy Department Circular No. DC2015-06-0004, which mandates the use of cleaner fuels that meet specific emission targets.

Chevron Philippines said Euro 4 Caltex diesel fuel would be available in all Caltex service stations by Jan. 1, 2016.

Chevron Philippines has nearly 700 Caltex-branded service stations in the Philippines.
