Chevron refines Delo® HDEO product line, to focus on synthetic

Chevron Products Company, a division of Chevron U.S.A. Inc.,announced a strategic refinement of its Delo Heavy Duty Engine Oil (HDEO) range, transitioning to synthetic blend and full synthetic formulations. This initiative, starting January 2024, aims to bolster product supply reliability and maintain competitive pricing for customers.

The company will phase out three conventional HDEO products, including Delo 400 SDE SAE 10W-30, Delo 400 SDE SAE 15W-40, and Delo 400 XLE SAE15W-40. These will be replaced by Delo 400 XLE SB SAE 15W-40, a new synthetic blend engineered for high performance, alongside the existing Delo 400 XLE 10W-30.

Walt Collier, Americas Commercial Sector manager at Chevron, stated, “Our commitment to progress and customer-centric innovation drives this shift. The updated Delo lineup, featuring synthetic blends, will continue to deliver the quality our clients expect while enhancing our supply chain’s resilience and cost-effectiveness.”

The revised Delo portfolio is suitable for all applications previously served by Chevron’s conventional heavy-duty engine oils.
