Daubert Chemical appoints Michael Duncan as president and CEO

Daubert Chemical Company, Inc. (DCC), a private label grease manufacturer of high quality specialty greases based in Chicago, Illinois, U.S.A., announced that Dr. Michael Duncan has been named the company’s president and CEO, effective January 1st, 2023. Duncan succeeds Matthew Puz who is retiring and has served as president and CEO since December 8th, 2015. 

Duncan joined Daubert Chemical  in 2012 and was most recently executive vice president of Technology. He has a PhD in Organic Chemistry from the University of Illinois and previously held technical management roles at the Ferro Corporation, BP Castrol and Fuchs Lubricants. He was president of the Society of Tribologists and Lubrication Engineers (STLE), a technical society for the tribology and lubrication engineering sectors worldwide based in Park Ridge, Illinois, U.S.A.. in 2019-2020.

In addition, Dr. Aaron Sanders has joined Daubert Chemical as vice president of Technology. Sanders has worked in the petrochemical industry for 19 years; eight years with Stepan Chemical and 11 years with Dow Chemical. He has successfully developed products across a range of upstream applications from hydraulic fracturing to enhanced oil recovery (EOR) and has authored more than 40 patents and papers. 

Sanders received a bachelor’s degree in Chemistry from the South Dakota School of Mines & Technology and a doctorate in Organic Chemistry from The University of Wisconsin – Madison. 

Sanders will report directly to Duncan and will take over the direction of the research and development (R&D) and quality assurance (QA) teams at Daubert Chemical.
