ELGI bestows Best Paper Award to Lubrizol’s Gareth Fish

Lubrizol Corp.’s Gareth Fish is the recipient of this year’s Best Paper Award at the recently concluded Annual Meeting of the European Lubricating Grease Institute (ELGI) which was held in Barcelona, Spain.

Fish is technical fellow and strategic technology manager in the industrial additives market segment of Lubrizol, based in Wickliffe, Ohio. He has a BSc in Chemistry and a PhD in Tribology from the Imperial College of Science, Technology and Medicine, University of London, England.

He has more than 25 years’ experience in greases and lubricants.

The title of his paper is “The development of energy efficient greases.” His paper looked at friction and efficiency losses in greases and the application of friction modifiers to potentially reduce the frictional losses in grease-lubricated componentry in a wide variety of applications.
