Ergon celebrates headquarters expansion with groundbreaking
Ergon Inc. marked a significant milestone with a groundbreaking ceremony to celebrate the expansion of its headquarters at Mirror Lake Plaza in Flowood, Mississippi, U.S.A. This expansion, valued at USD85 million, will double the size of the existing headquarters and create more than 200 new jobs in the state.
Founded in 1954 by Leslie Lampton Sr., Ergon started with just two employees and a single fuel transport truck in a small office in Jackson, Mississippi. Today, it has grown into a global enterprise with more than 4,200 employees, including 1,200 in Mississippi alone. The company’s mission, “Meet Needs. Support Families. Serve Customers,” has been the driving force behind its sustained growth and commitment to community service.
“Ergon has experienced remarkable growth over the past five years, expanding our market presence to meet the evolving needs of our customers,” said Kris Patrick, Ergon’s president and CEO. “This expansion signifies our continued commitment to making a positive difference in countless lives. We look forward to serving in exciting, innovative ways moving forward.”
The groundbreaking event was attended by several state and local officials, including Governor Tate Reeves and Flowood Mayor Gary Rhoads. Whit Hughes, Ergon’s vice president of Public Affairs and Government Relations, expressed gratitude for the support from the government representatives, emphasising the project’s significance for both Ergon and the state of Mississippi.
The expansion project is expected to be completed within a year, reinforcing Ergon’s position as a leading provider of energy and specialty solutions, integrated services and logistics, and pavement and coating resources.
