Useful tips before you travel to Thailand

As of April 1, below is the prevailing Thai government regulation regarding entering Thailand:

As long as you are fully-vaccinated, you no longer need to present an RT-PCR test valid for 72 hours prior to your departure from your home country to fly to Thailand.
However, upon your arrival in Thailand, you will have to undergo the RT-PCR test in the hotel as part of the Test and Go scheme. The Siam Anantara Bangkok is one of the hotels authorized to administer the Test and Go program. This information is available in the hotel reservation form.
Last month, the Thai government eased its regulation, so you no longer need a second PCR-test on day 5. It has been replaced by a self-administered rapid antigen test. You will receive a free rapid antigen test kit from the hotel, as part of your Test and Go package.
Upon returning to your home country after the conference, you must check with your country of destination whether the RT-PCR test or ATK test will be required before returning or leaving for your next destination.

All nationalities must apply for a Thai Pass, which is free of charge. The purpose of the Thai Pass is to establish that:
1. You are fully vaccinated
2. You have a hotel reservation which includes the Test and Go program. This is available from the Siam Anantara.
3. You have medical insurance that covers Covid-19 hospitalization in Thailand. Your current medical insurance may already cover this, in which case, ask your insurance for a certification. But if your insurance does not, it is easy to buy online from Axa Thailand for around 2,500 baht (about $80).

Before you apply for your Thai Pass online, wait for the hotel confirmation from the Siam Anantara as you need to submit this. Make sure to apply for your Thai Pass at least seven (7) days before your departure date.
