ExxonMobil introduces fully synthetic air compressor lubricant

ExxonMobil Corp. has introduced Mobil SHC™ Rarus, a fully synthetic air compressor lubricant designed for severe duty rotary screw and vane air compressors. Mobil SHC Rarus was formulated with high-performance synthetic base stocks with high viscosity index, which enables a wide temperature range capability and effective lubrication at high temperatures.

Especially well-suited for rotary screw compressors, the Mobil SHC Rarus Series is available in three viscosity grades (32, 46 and 68). Its features include:

Outstanding thermal and oxidation stability
Excellent varnish and sludge control
High load carrying capability
Exceptional resistance to rusting and corrosion, very good antiwear, demulsibility, foam control and air release and multi-metal compatibility
Excellent water separability
