ADNOC Distribution expands footprint with Egypt service stations
ADNOC Distribution, based in the United Arab Emirates, has unveiled its first three ADNOC-branded service stations in Egypt. These stations, located in Greater Cairo, are part of the company’s broader strategy to strengthen its international presence.
This expansion follows ADNOC’s acquisition of a 50% stake in TotalEnergies Marketing Egypt LLC earlier in the year. The company has plans to inaugurate six more service stations across Egypt by the end of 2023.
The launch event in Degla Maadi witnessed the presence of notable figures, including Eng. Tarek El Molla, Egypt’s Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources, and H.E. Mariam Alkaabi, UAE Ambassador to Egypt.
Bader Saeed Al Lamki, CEO of ADNOC Distribution, commented, “Our entry into the Egyptian market underscores our ambition to be a top regional mobility solutions provider. We’re excited to introduce our innovative services to Egyptian consumers and explore further growth avenues.”
Additionally, ADNOC introduced its signature Oasis convenience stores in Egypt, offering a curated selection of food, beverages, and specialty grade Arabica coffee. Thomas Strauss, managing director of TotalEnergies Marketing Egypt LLC, expressed optimism about the collaboration, emphasising the shared vision of delivering exceptional services to Egyptian customers.
The joint venture encompasses a diverse downstream portfolio, including fuel retail stations, convenience stores, and aviation fuel operations. Notably, the partnership has secured rights to supply aviation fuel to Etihad Airways for Cairo flights and is gearing up to introduce ADNOC Voyager, a line of premium automotive lubricants.
The newly launched stations, operating round-the-clock, are situated in Degla Maadi, Obour City, and the Suez Ring Road. They offer comprehensive vehicle services, with ADNOC Oasis convenience stores providing an array of products, from fresh foods to specialty coffee.
ADNOC Distribution’s venture into Egypt marks a significant step in its global expansion, having previously branched out to Saudi Arabia in 2018.
