Asia’s Premier Annual Event for the Fuels and Lubricants Industry unveils speaker line-up

F&L Asia Ltd. has unveiled a stellar speaker line-up for its 2016 edition of Asia’s premier annual event for the Fuels & Lubes industry, the 22nd year of this conference. F+L Week 2016 will be held from March 8-11, 2016 at the Regent Hotel in Singapore.

With this year’s theme of “Fuels & Lubricants in a Low-Carbon Economy,” Toyota Motor Corp.’s Executive General Manager Masanori Sugiyama will give this year’s keynote address on March 11 entitled “The Future of Automobiles in 2035.” This keynote address will be followed by presentations from R&D executives of industry leading Asian national oil companies or NOCs.

This landmark annual conference brings together high-level speakers and delegates to Singapore, Asia’s oil refining and trading centre, to unleash thought leadership, shape strategic road maps and provide an exceptional networking opportunity for those belonging to the Asia-Pacific fuels and lubricants industry.

The highlights of this year’s plenary session on March 8 include presentations by Oliver Taylor, Castrol Nexcel Chief Engineer, on “The Next Generation Lubricant,” and Wei Song, Shell Technology Manager for Base Oils & Additives, on “Shell’s GTL Technology for Lubricants and Fuels,” to name just a few.

Key automotive trends will be presented on March 10 by Shell’s Dan Arcy on API CK-4 and FA-4, Toyota’s Teri Kowalski on ILSAC GF-6, Lubrizol’s Keith Howard on Europe’s ACEA 2016 sequences, Chevron Oronite’s Kaustav Sinha on future gasoline engine oil development, and much more. In addition to regular sessions on Base Oils, Industrial Lubricants and Greases, Automotive Fuels and Lubricants, and Additives, there also will be special sessions on Natural Gas Vehicles and China on March 9.

Additionally, a workshop on Synthetic Lubricants will be conducted on March 8 by Professor (ret.) Wilfried Bartz from Germany’s Technische Akademie Esslingen and on Natural Gas Vehicles on March 9 by Dr. Ming Zheng from Canada’s University of Windsor.
