Chevron Oronite to present at the 14th ICIS Middle Eastern Base Oils & Lubricants Conference 2017

San Ramon, CA (September 25, 2017) – Chevron Oronite announced that Richard van den Bulk, OEM and industry liaison, European passenger car OEMs, Chevron Oronite Technology B.V., will be speaking at the 14 th ICIS Middle Eastern Base Oils & Lubricants Conference, which is being held 9-11 October 2017 in Dubai, UAE. He will be delivering a presentation titled: “Why are European OEM-Approved Oils becoming more important in the Middle East and Africa Region?” on 10 October 2017 at 12 p.m.

European OEMs are marketing their cars with the latest technologies in the Middle East and Africa where OEM or ACEA approved engine oils are often required. “I will compare and contrast ACEA and API oils, and explain why European Manufacturers mandate OEM-approved oils for their newest engine technologies, which are designed to meet the increasingly severe CO2 and fuel economy regulations,” said van den Bulk. “In addition, I will provide background on the complexity of ACEA passenger car specifications and present an overview of the related European Passenger Car OEM specifications for the Middle-East and Africa region.”
