Dow announces price increases for lubricants

3 May 2011 – MIDLAND, MICH. – Due to current market conditions and escalating costs to manufacture, Polyglycols, Surfactants & Fluids, a business unit of The Dow Chemical Company, is announcing a price increase for its North America Lubricants (UCON™) products, effective June 1, 2011. The price increase, up to 15%, will vary by product, or as contracts permit.

While feedstock availability and pricing remain volatile, Dow continues to invest in supply chain enhancements to provide the most reliable source for synthetic fluids and lubricants. In addition, Dow continues to develop innovative synthetic lubricant technology solutions to meet the next generation needs of the industry.

Further details of the price increase will be communicated to customers by local Dow Account Executives.
