F&L Asia announces expansion of awards categories for F&L Asia Awards
Due to the overwhelming success of the F&L Asia Awards, and feedback from the fuels and lubricants community, we are pleased to announce the expansion of the categories for the 2019 Awards. Alongside the existing “F&L Asia Person of the Year” and “F&L Asia Product Development of the Year”, we will also recognise the men and women who show outstanding potential for leadership growth with the introduction of a brand new “Future Leaders Award”.
The F&L Asia Awards, held annually in conjunction with F+L Week, highlight the extensive range of talent in our industry in the region and honour people and products that have made an exceptional contribution to the fuels and lubricants industry. Category winners will be honored during the F&L Asia Awards Dinner at the Grand Hyatt Singapore on 6 March, 2019.
The recipient of the “F&L Asia Future Leaders Award” will show promise, possess leadership ability, and will already have demonstrated successes in their career. Nominees must have shown strong commitment to the industry but should have no more than 15 years of industry experience.
“We are excited about uncovering the next generation of leaders in our industry with the introduction of the Future Leaders Award in 2019,” says Vicky Villena-Denton, CEO and Editor-in-Chief of F&L Asia, the major industry publisher that hosts the popular industry conference dedicated to base oils, lubricants, petroleum additives and transport fuels. “F+L Week 2019 is focused on exposing future fuel and lubricant trends, so it is appropriate that we also identify our future leaders in this forum,” she says.
Nominations for all three awards are being accepted until 31 December, 2018. Past recipients have been extremely influential and highly dedicated industry leaders, and creative and innovative products and technologies. Please have your say and tell us who you’d like to see recognised for their contributions to our industry in 2019. We are looking for true industry ambassadors! Winners will be selected by F+L Week’s independent advisory board.

The 2019 F&L Asia Awards include three prestigious categories:
The “F&L Asia Person of the Year” recognises an individual’s outstanding contribution to the fuels & lubricants industry in Asia. The nominee may come not only from the oil and additive industries but also from other stakeholder industries such as OEMs, user-industries, regulatory agencies and non-governmental organisations.
The “F&L Asia Product Development of the Year” highlights product innovation within the fuels and lubricants industry. We are seeking nominations for outstanding products and technologies that are new to the market as of 1 January, 2018. Entries may be a consumer or intermediate product or technology.
The “F&L Asia Future Leaders Award” will recognise the men and women in our industry who show potential for leadership growth. The recipient will show promise, possess leadership ability, and will already have demonstrated successes in their career. Nominees must have shown strong commitment to the industry but should have no more than 15 years of industry experience.
