GM Thailand honored with Prime Minister’s Industry Award 2018 in Environmental Quality Preservation category

BANGKOK, THAILAND – GM Thailand’s Rayong manufactory facility was recognized for its outstanding efforts in environment conservation at the Prime Minister’s Industry Award 2018. H.E. General Prayut Chan-o-cha, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Thailand, presented the award to Mr. Amnat Saengjan, Vice President of Manufacturing of General Motors Thailand. The ceremony was hosted by the Ministry of Industry at the Thai Government House Santi Maitri Building on December 20, 2018.

Mr. Amnat said “I am proud that GM Thailand is recognized with the Prime Minister’s Industry Award in the Environmental Quality Conservation category. This reflects our continuous commitment environment protection. GM Thailand’s Rayong manufacturing facility which is our regional hub for engine and vehicle production, has received numerous awards over the years, particularly for its environmental, energy and safety management.”

GM Thailand was one of only four manufacturing facilities in Thailand to be honored in this category and one of two automotive companies to receive this award in 2018.
