Infineum announces new Asia Pacific Sales Director

17 November 2011 – Infineum International has announced that Mr. Somchai Kornkanitnan will be appointed as Asia Pacific Sales Director effective from 1st December 2011, replacing Mr. Yuji Uchiyama, who retires from the company on 31st December 2011, after more than 40 years of service with Infineum and Exxon Chemical.

Mr. Somchai Kornkanitnan joined Exxon Chemical in 1980 and has more than 20 years of experience in the additives industry. He has held various senior positions during his tenure with Infineum, including Global Small Engine Lubricants Business Manager, Asia Pacific General Manager and Manufacturing Manager.

His most recently held position was that of Global Account Executive and Global Fuels Sales Manager, based at the Infineum corporate head office in the United Kingdom. In addition to his new role as the Asia Pacific Sales Director, Mr. Kornkanitnan will also retain his position
as Global Fuels Sales Manager.

Mr. Yuji Uchiyama, an alumnus of Waseda University, joined Exxon Chemical in 1971. He held several positions including Technical Service, Sales Manager and ATF Sector Manager based in several countries. He was appointed to the role of Asia Pacific Sales Director, based in Singapore in 1998 and relocated to Tokyo in 2000. He has continued in this role since and will relinquish it when he retires at the end of this year.
