Lube-Tech goes digital

Today, universal access to digital information is commonplace, with numerous academic resources and journals instantaneously available to readers globally. Ever capable of adapting to the times, Lube Magazine itself went digital in 2012, and became accessible online to subscribers of the digital magazine. Now, however, we at Lube Media have spearheaded a further initiative.

Since February 1997, in issue 28, the Lube-Tech technical articles have formed the centrefold of Lube Magazine. From the outset, Lube-Tech has provided in-depth, technical commentary concerning a range of lubricant industry fields and has been contributed to by article providers from numerous companies and countries. It has also, in its time, marked a number of significant events in both the history of UKLA and the lubricants Industry in general.

The breadth and depth of information which goes into Lube-Tech has made it an invaluable academic and industry resource. For this reason in the early days, the centre pages Lube-Tech section in each issue was especially designed to be a pull-out article, which could be easily extracted from the rest of the magazine and filed for future reference. We have now taken this idea a step further.

Through a great deal of diligence and hard work, we have created a complete online database www.lube-media.com/lubetech of all of the Lube-Tech articles published. Each Lube-Tech will be fully searchable and available to download in PDF format.

This service is being provided free of charge and without need of subscription to Lube Digital for any visitor to the Lube Media website. However if you do wish to subscribe to Lube Magazine for free, you can fill in our online subscription form www.lube-media.com/subscribe.

In many ways, we see the database as returning to the foundations of Lube-Tech, providing readers with a pull-out paper that can be easily extracted from Lube Magazine and easily kept for reference by our readers as well as those working in the lubricants industry and those studying one of the many fields and disciplines which make it up.
