Shell upgrade helps Sebastian Vettel to Belgium GP victory
Scuderia Ferrari Chief Technical Officer, Mattia Binotto, commented on the win: “Victory always comes as the result of multiple efforts and Shell helped us this weekend with a new fuel formulation. A great way to start the second part of the season.”
Guy Lovett, Shell Motorsport Technology Manager added: “We’re extremely proud to play our part in what has been a superb win for the team in Belgium. Over a season, we run over 200,000 simulations and blend over 100 candidate Shell V-Power race fuel formulations in the lab back in Hamburg, and five or fewer will eventually get to see race action. Therefore, we need to ensure each upgrade counts and this new formulation of Shell V-Power race fuel is true validation of all the work we have put in throughout the year.”
