Solvay appoints Nathalie van Ypersele as General Manager Communication

Brussels, July 1 2019 — Solvay has appointed Nathalie van Ypersele as General Manager Communication as of October 1, 2019. She will bring 20 years of communication and journalist experience to the Group.

Nathalie’s communication expertise ranges from reputation management to corporate and crisis communications and social media. Nathalie joins Solvay from strategic communication agency akkanto, where as a partner she worked with Belgian and international corporate clients. She began her career with Belgian business magazine Trends-Tendances, first as a journalist and then as its editor in chief.

A Belgian national, Nathalie van Ypersele holds an American bachelor’s degree in political science and a master’s in Journalism from Belgium’s UCL. She pursued her studies in Europe and the United States, completing programs such as Coaching and Consulting for Change at Insead, International Journalism at Columbia University, as well as programs at Yale and Harvard Kennedy School following her 2010 nomination by the World Economic Forum as Young Global Leader.
