Univar acquires Spanish specialty chemical distributor Vicom
Univar Solutions Inc., a leading global solutions provider specialty ingredients and chemicals, has acquired Vicom Distribución Productos Quimicos, S.L.
Headquartered in Barcelona, Spain, Vicom Distribución Productos Quimicos, S.L is a leading regional specialty chemicals distributor in Spain and Portugal. The company partners with a range of well-known global suppliers, including ExxonMobil, Arkema, MLPC, Synthomer, Goodyear Chemical, Sidiac and others.
Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
The Vicom acquisition will further expand the company’s specialty portfolio of coatings, adhesives, sealants, and elastomers (CASE) offerings by enhancing its range of additive solutions and augmenting its presence in Europe with more sustainable options.
