Valentina Serra-Holm given prestigious industry assignment

In connection with the 25th ELGI Annual General Meeting, Valentina Serra-Holm became the first woman to be elected to the Board.

The European Lubricating Grease Institute (ELGI) is an independent institute that is financed solely by its members. It is one of a number of scientific and technical institutes that operate in the field of tribology, the science of lubrication, friction and wear. The aim is to highlight technical, financial, ecological and legal aspects relating to lubricants, greases and associated products.

Valentina Serra-Holm, Marketing Director at Naphthenics, was recently elected to the Board of ELGI. Bearing in mind that all significant players in the industry are members, this is not only an acknowledgement of her tremendous expertise, but also a success for Nynas.

One of Valentina’s tasks is to be editor of Eurogrease Magazine, which is aimed at not only technicians and researchers, but also sales and marketing personnel in companies that manufacture, distribute and sell lubricants. But she’ll also be coming into contact with workgroups that make up a central part of the business.

“In recent years there’s been a lot of focus on the European chemicals legislation REACH, but in future I think the focus will shift towards technical development and innovation in order to achieve both better and environmentally sound products,” says Valentina Serra-Holm.
