VP Racing Fuels expands international sales team

VP Racing Fuels, Inc., based in San Antonio, Texas, U.S.A., announced the expansion of its international sales team and the opening of a European office. VP Racing Fuels is best known for fueling champions in virtually every form of motorsport on land, sea, and air since 1975.

VP Racing Fuels has appointed James McVey as international sales manager, responsible for all international sales of VP’s extensive line of race fuels, racing and passenger car motor oils, Madditiveยฎ fuel additives, outdoor equipment small engine fuels, and appearance products. 

McVey previously served as OEM relations manager for VP Racing Fuels and will continue to report to Alan Cerwick, president and CEO. He will be based in San Antonio. 

“James has proven to be the consummate professional sales executive, with the depth of experience and pedigree to lead our international team and initiatives,” said Cerwick. “We foresee accelerated growth under James’ stewardship.”

McVey has more than 20 years of sales experience across a broad range of industries in domestic and international markets. He earned a Bachelor of Multidisciplinary Science degree at Texas Tech University.

Reporting to McVey will be Alexej Borscs, as director of Sales and Operations, Europe. Borscs will be opening and working from VP Racing Fuel’s new European headquarters in Berlin, Germany.

Borscs has more than six years of experience in various analytical and strategic roles at European oil and gas companies. He also spent more than five years at Roland Berger Strategy Consultants, where he was project manager in the energy sector, consultinh on international strategy, operational excellence, and restructuring. 

Borscs holds a Bachelor of Business Studies degree from the Oxford Brookes University in the UK and a Master of Business Administration degree from Webster University in the U.S.

Also reporting to McVey is Tom Davis, as UK and European business development manager. Davis will be based in the UK.

Davis has more than 12 years of experience in the motor sport industry, most recently as sales and marketing director at one of the UK’s oldest independent motor racing circuits, Castle Combe Race Circuit in Wiltshire. Highly skilled in marketing and new business channels, Davis was responsible for the circuit’s racing calendar, including 12 meetings and championships for both cars and motorbikes. He has a degree in Events and Marketing from the University of Gloucestershire.
