Koehler is pleased to introduce the new K192X1 Water Washout Tester for Lubricating Greases. Water Washout is a key test needed to evaluate a greases ability to act as a sealant to an ingress of water. The amount of grease that is washed out when subjected to a steady water stream is determined as per ASTM D1264, D4950 and other related specifications.

Test Method

A grease sample is packed in a ball bearing and subjected to a steady water stream under controlled test conditions. The percentage of grease washed out in a one hour period is determined by weight.
