FUCHS Petrolub announces expansion of Mannheim location
FUCHS Petrolub SE, the world’s largest independent manufacturer of high-quality lubricants and related products, announced the purchase of two large properties in the immediate vicinity of its current location in Mannheim, Germany.
The two properties acquired lead to a 25% expansion of the site in Mannheim, which will cover a total of 135,000 m².
The acquisition of these two properties by FUCHS SCHMIERSTOFFE GMBH, which is based in Mannheim, is part of FUCHS’ global investment initiative with the aim of securing sustained growth in the long term. An additional office building and a new logistics center with an automated warehouse for raw materials are being planned on the new premises.
“It is an important milestone for the future of our important headquarters location in Mannheim,” says Stefan Fuchs, chairman of the Executive Board of FUCHS PETROLUB.
“This expansion will provide us with much-needed space for our growth here in Mannheim,” adds Stefan Knapp, CEO of FUCHS SCHMIERSTOFFE GMBH.
In the next three to four years, FUCHS will invest a total of approximately EUR50 million (USD 58.3 million) in the expansion of the Mannheim site.
The FUCHS Group develops, produces and markets high-grade lubricants and related specialties for virtually all industries and areas of application. Formed in Mannheim in 1931, the Group employs more than 5,000 people worldwide at 58 operating companies. Its most important markets in terms of sales revenues are Western Europe, Asia and North America.
