Gulf Petrochem inaugurates storage terminal in Sharjah

Gulf Petrochem Group inaugurated its new terminal in Sharjah, United Arab Emirates on Oct. 29.

The terminal is located within Hamriyah Free Zone and will provide storage capacity to meet growing demand for refined petroleum and petrochemical products in the Middle East.

The new terminal will become fully operational in November, with a total capacity of 203,888 cubic metres (cbm). There are 37 tanks in the terminal, ranging in capacity from 1,7000 to 11,200 cbm.

The facility can store all types of petroleum products, including fuel oil, gas oil, base oil, bitumen, naphtha, etc.

“Complimented by our existing storage facility in Fujairah, UAE and Pipavav, India, our new terminal in Hamriyah will continue to enable us to service our customers within strategically located storage and trading hubs globally,” said B.M. Bansal, board member of Gulf Petrochem.
