HCS Group establishes subsidiary in Japan

HCS Group GmbH, a leading international supplier of solutions for high-value hydrocarbon specialties, has established a subsidiary in Yokohoma, Japan.

“We expect a strong growth potential for our hydrocarbon specialities business in the Asian market, foremost for our performance fuels,” says Uwe Nickel, CEO of HCS. “As a fuels specialist we are able to offer customer-defined solutions to the local automotive industry and support them in meeting increasing technological and environmental challenges.”

As Haltermann Carless Japan G.K., the new subsidiary will operate under the key brand of HCS Group.

Haltermann Carless is one of the world’s leading producers of customised performance fuels for use in engine development and referencing as well as high-end racing applications. The company works in close R&D partnership with all major automotive manufacturers and suppliers on the development of test solutions to reduce carbon emissions and enhance efficiency.

I am delighted to support our highly developed automotive market with well-tested and progressive technologies from Europe to foster cleaner fuel or hybrid technologies and other technical solutions,” says Hisakazu Akiyama, managing director, Haltermann Carless Japan.

Akiyama joined the company in May 2017 and is responsible for HCS Group’s business development in Japan. He brings along a broad knowledge of the oil, gas and chemical business as well as the fuels and automotive business.
