Idemitsu Lubricants America announced the appointment of Michael Park as senior director for Aftermarket Sales and Operations, North America. This appointment is indicative of Idemitsu’s increasing long-term commitment to service excellence through insight-based solutions for success in a quickly changing lubricants aftermarket in North America.

Park sets forth to guide the Idemitsu Aftermarket Sales team and strengthen its direct relationships with customers.

“The challenges we all face today make it clear we can take nothing for granted, in life and in business,” said Oya Yasumasa, vice president of Sales and Marketing. “Idemitsu has long planned these organizational changes to continue to focus on our roots of customer service. By building more direct and value-added relationships with our aftermarket customers, we can more effectively support them. Now is the time for these changes, when service and communication matters more than ever, and Michael Park is the leader who will get the job done.”

Park, who is based in Louisville, Kentucky, U.S.A., has more than 30 years’ experience and proven leadership in the automotive aftermarket, including sales, logistics/distribution, wholesale and retail parts. He has been with Idemitsu for almost nine years, and most recently managed the company’s largest division, growing it from just a handful of employees. Park will use his expertise in sales, teamwork, critical thinking and problem-solving to help customers achieve their goals in a challenging and quickly changing aftermarket.

With this announcement, Idemitsu promises a strong, more personal business partnership for all its lubricants customers, providing results-driven, world-class OE solutions for their business needs.

Idemitsu Lubricants America Corporation, founded as Apollo America Corporation, is a 100% subsidiary of Japan’s Idemitsu Kosan, the eighth largest lubricant manufacturer globally. Idemitsu began supplying lubricants in the United States in the late 1970s and built its state-of-the-art blending facility in Jeffersonville, Indiana, in 1992. Since then, Idemitsu has continuously expanded its business both in the United States and globally.
