Idemitsu’s Pakistani lubricant sales company starts operations

Idemitsu Lube Pakistan Pvt., Ltd., the lubricant sales company of Japan’s Idemitsu Kosan, has started its business activities.

Idemitsu Lube Pakistan was established to provide lubricants to Japanese automotive and related manufacturers in Pakistan, as well as promote the sales of Idemitsu-branded lubricants.

“The establishment and business commencement of the new company further enriches our worldwide network that now consists of a total of 40 overseas lubricant sales companies,” the company said in a statement.

Pakistan has a population of 200 million, the sixth most populous country in the world, with an economy that is growing year after year. “We expect to see stable growth over the medium-to-long term,” the company said . In the automotive market, which is Idemitsu’s core market, Japanese manufacturers hold the majority of the total market share for both automobiles, selling 200,000 units, and motorcycles, selling 1.7 million units in 2018.

As a global manufacturer of lubricants, Idemitsu aims to expand and reinforce its business by establishing a community-based sales structure to respond to the diverse market needs.
