Infineum appoints J.A.M. Distributing as sole distributor for U.S. and Canada

J.A.M. Distributing, a Brenntag Group company, has been appointed as sole distributor for Infineum USA L.P. effective 1 May 2019. The Infineum Group of Companies, a joint venture between ExxonMobil and Shell, is a global petroleum additives enterprise, with global headquarters in Milton Hill, UK.

Having worked with Infineum since 1990, this latest appointment extends the relationship between the parties beyond their existing arrangements in Europe, the Middle East, Africa, Asia Pacific, and Latin America.

J.A.M. Distributing based in Houston, Texas, U.S.A., is a market leader in the marketing, formulation, and distribution of high-value lubricant additives, base oils, and specialty chemicals. It was acquired by Brenntag in 2015.

“We want to expand our collaboration with Brenntag based on the knowledge, experience and a robust working relationship we have successfully developed with Brenntag in other regions. This appointment is an important strategic decision to catalyze growth in the region,” said Fabian Devita, Americas sales director, Infineum.

“We are excited to be a part of the expanding relationship between Infineum and Brenntag,” said Craig Goodrich, vice president of Lubricants, Brenntag North America. “Integrating the Infineum lubricant additives product line to our current specialty products offerings will undoubtedly add value to our customers.”

The territory expansion of the relationship will help to further support customers and suppliers with Infineum lubricant and fuel additives products into the lubricants industry.

Brenntag is a global market leader in chemical distribution, covering all major markets with its extensive product and service portfolio. Headquartered in Essen, Germany, the company operates a global network with more than 580 locations in 76 countries and a workforce of more than 16,600 employees. In 2018, the company generated sales of EUR 12.6 billion (USD 14.8 billion).
