Juan Acosta appointed as VP of Sales – Asia at Ergon Refining

Ergon, a leading group of privately held companies headquartered in Flowood, Mississippi, U.S.A., has announced the promotion of Juan Acosta to vice president of Sales – Asia for Ergon Refining Inc. In his new role, Acosta will spearhead strategic sales initiatives across Asia, focusing on expanding distributor and supplier networks, enhancing brand presence, and establishing market leadership in the region.

Acosta joined Ergon in 2019, serving as the global technical marketing manager for Dielectric Fluids. His tenure at Ergon has been marked by significant contributions, particularly in technical marketing and product management. Before joining Ergon, Acosta had a successful 15-year career at Siemens, where he held various roles within the Energy Division across the U.S., Europe, and Latin America.

Acosta’s academic background includes a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering and a Master of Business Administration degree. He is a certified project management professional, reflecting his expertise in managing complex projects efficiently. Further enhancing his professional skill set, Acosta has earned a certificate in Product Management from Cornell University and a Mastering Sales – Kellogg Credential.

Ergon operates under four primary business segments: Energy & Specialty Solutions, Pavement & Coating Resources, Integrated Services & Logistics, and Exploration & Production. Within the Energy & Specialty Solutions segment, Ergon Refining Inc. stands as the world’s leading producer of specialty naphthenic oils. Ergon – West Virginia Inc., another key entity within this segment, is known for its production of Group I and Group II paraffinic base oils.
