KLK OLEO names Ewering as chief sustainability officer in Europe

KLK OLEO announced the appointment of Ralf Ewering as chief sustainability officer in Europe. 

As a worldwide oleochemical producer with more than 100 years of experience, KLK OLEO’s products can be found in most consumer staples, from Beauty & Personal Care, Food & Health Care, Home Care, Industries & Institutional Cleaning, Lubricants to Polymers. 

KLK OLEO is the manufacturing division of KUALA LUMPUR KEPONG BERHAD (KLK), a leading international plantations group listed on the Main Board of Bursa Malaysia Securities Berhad.

Ewering will drive and lead the development and delivery of the European region’s sustainability strategy to further establish KLK OLEO’s sustainability leadership in the oleochemical industry. 

“I’m excited to further drive momentum to KLK OLEO’s sustainability journey and work on the positive transition of our industry towards the people and our planet,” Ewering said. 

Ewering has 27 years of experience in different managerial positions in the process industry. He has worked for 17 years in the oleochemical industry. Ewering holds a Master in Chemical Engineering from the Technical University of Dortmund.
