Klüber Lubrication launches new high-temperature chain oil

Klüber Lubrication has developed a new high-temperature chain oil which exactly meets the needs of the food industry.

“Klüberfood NH1 CH 6-120 SUPREME contains H1-registered white solid lubricants instead of black graphite,” said Aldemir Oliveira, market manager food at Klüber Lubrication. “This leads to improved food safety, since contamination with black particles is avoided, and longer relubrication periods because of the impregnation effect of the solid lubricant.”

The new synthetic chain oil helps increase chain lifetimes and contributes to increased reliability of the production process, due to its excellent anti-wear behavior even at extreme temperatures of up to 650 degrees Celsius and good corrosion protection.

Klüberfood NH1 CH 6-120 SUPREME also offers good wetting properties and excellent penetration with high dispersion stability. The new high-performance chain oil can be used to lubricate transport chains operating in the food processing industry at very high temperatures, e.g. plate carrier chains in baking ovens as they are commonly found in bread, tortilla or pizza production lines.

The lubricant was also developed for incidental contact with products and packaging materials in the cosmetics, pharmaceutical and animal feed industries.

Klüber Lubrication is one of the world’s leading manufacturers of specialty lubricants, offering high-end tribological solutions to virtually all industries and markets worldwide. Based in Munich, Germany, Klüber Lubrication is part of Freudenberg Chemical Specialities SE & Co. KG, a business unit of the Freudenberg Group in Weinheim, Germany.
