BASF hikes prices for Emgard® line of lubricants

BASF SE (BAS.XE), based in Ludwigshafen, Germany,  said it is increasing prices for its Emgard® line of synthetic lubricants globally by up to 9%. The price increases are effective May 16 or as contracts allow. The price adjustments are necessary due to significantly increased raw material costs, BASF said. Emgard is a trademark of German chemicals company Cognis, which BASF acquired last year. (May 13, 2011)
