BYD's high-end G6 sedan outsells other brands in China

BYD Automobile Co. Ltd. posted a 200% growth in December over November sales. The company’s mid-sized, high-end yet affordable G6 sedan outsold every other domestic brand, with 5,090 units sold in December. The G6 was launched only in September 2011 and BYD expects sales to reach 10,000 units per month. The G6 has a turbo-charged 1.5 L engine and a dual-clutch transmission. (January 18, 2012)
