China's luxury car market expected to grow in 2009

China’s luxury car market will achieve a five percent growth in 2009, predicted Zeng Lintang, vice general manager of Toyota Motor (China) Investment Co. According to data released by top luxury carmaker BMW China, the company sold 47,342 BMWs and MINIs in the first nine months, up 30.4% year on year, setting a new sales record. Another luxury carmaker, Mercedes Benz, sold 4,400 units in China’s mainland market in September, up 60% year on year. (December 8, 2008)
