ExxonMobil appoints new public affairs manager

ExxonMobil Exploration and Production Malaysia Inc. announced the appointment of Farid Jaafar as its new public affairs manager effective May 1. He succeeds Mokhtar Daud, who retired after serving the company for 29 years. Farid started his career with ExxonMobil in 1982 as a drilling engineer and through his various assignments, has acquired more than 25 years of experience in upstream technical business and supply chain activities. He holds an honors degree in mechanical engineering from City University London. (May 4, 2009)
