FCC Environmental to build recycling plant in Maryland

FCC Envionmental plans to invest US$50 million for the construction of a used lubricant oil recycling plant in Baltimore, Maryland. FCC Environmental is a wholly owned subsidiary of the Spanish company, Fomento de Construcciones y Contratas. The Houston-based company said that construction of the plant will begin in mid-2012 and will be finished by mid-2013. The facility in Baltimore will have a capacity of 943 barrels per year (39.627 million gallons) of used lubricants. It will recycle used oils into lubricants and transmission fluid for use in cars and trucks. FCC Environmental is involved in oil collection and processing and provides recycling services for the automotive, commercial and industrial sectors. (September 7, 2011)
