Ford begins production of Focus in Thailand

Ford Motor Company has begun production of the new Ford Focus at its new US$450 million manufacturing plant in Rayong, Thailand. Peter Fleet, president of Ford ASEAN, said: “The all-new Ford Focus is the next of eight vehicles that we will bring to ASEAN by mid-decade, continuing the successful, product-led transformation of our business. The all-new Focus will expand our appeal to a whole new generation of Ford customers in Thailand and across this region.”
Ford Focus is the first model to be built at the Ford Thailand Manufacturing (FTM) plant, which can simultaneously produce up to six different models. (August 26, 2012)
