Honda offers hybrid technologies to Chinese automakers
According to The Nikkei, Honda Motor Co. Ltd. will provide its core hybrid car technologies to its joint venture partners in China, as well as several Chinese automakers. Honda, Japan’s third-largest carmaker by production volume wants to introduce its hybrid technologies in China, which is the world’s biggest auto market. China is also the world’s largest energy consumer and the country is encouraging the use of fuel-efficient vehicles. Analysts believe that since Honda’s sales in China have remained sluggish, the Japanese automaker is now trying to create a turnaround through the aggressive marketing of its hybrid vehicle technologies.
