Hyundai Oilbank to build new RFCC unit

South Korea’s Hyundai Oilbank Corp. is planning to build a 56,000-barrel per day (bpd) residual fluid catalytic cracking unit by 2012 to expand its upgrading facilities, said a company spokesman on June 26. “After the construction, we will have a combined daily capacity of 120,000 barrels (in upgrading facilities),” said Koh In-soo. Currently, the refiner’s upgrading facilities have a combined daily capacity of 64,000 barrels, he said. Hyundai Oilbank is the country’s smallest refiner by capacity. (June 26, 2008)
