Idemitsu Kosan boosts lube oil output capacity in Indonesia

Idemitsu Kosan has raised the output capacity for lubricating oils at Idemitsu Lube Techno Indonesia, its 90%-owned subsidiary in Indonesia, to 65,000 kiloliters (kl) per year from 25,000 kl per year. According to the Tokyo-based company’s estimates, Indonesian demand for lubricating oils is now as high as 700,000 kl per year, mainly due to the widespread use of motorcycles. The country’s motorcycle production is expected to top seven million units this year. (October 29, 2010
