Moscow refinery of Gazprom Neft begins production of Euro 4 gasoline

The Moscow refinery of Gazprom Neft began production of Euro 4 gasoline this month; all the high octane gasoline produced at the site now meets Euro 4 standards. The refinery began production of Euro 4 diesel fuel in January 2011. Gazprom Neft is also building an isomerization unit, which is scheduled for completion in the first quarter of 2013. The company said it will also complete the upgrade of a diesel hydro-desulfurization unit by the end of 2012. Upon the completion of these two expansion projects, the company will be able to start production of Euro 5 fuel. Gazprom Neft will invest Rb130 billion (US$4.4 billion) by 2020 on other upgrades at the site. (April 19, 2012)
