Nissan Motor Company plans to invest US$315 million in China

Japanese automaker Nissan Motor Company will invest US$315 million for the construction of a new Infiniti plant in China. The plant will produce two luxury models. The company had earlier announced that the Infiniti would be built at a plant which it will operate with Dongfeng. It did not, however, specify which Infiniti models will be produced in China. Nissan is aiming for a sales volume of 500,000 luxury vehicles to be delivered to different parts of the world by 2016. (May 29, 2012)
