No additional fuel outlets in Orissa

Due to the financial crunch, state-run Indian Oil Corporation (IOC) said it would not be able to open additional fuel outlets in Orissa, which consumes 2.4 kiloliters of petrol and diesel per annum, though the state requires more such facilities. Of the state’s total 1,000 outlets, IOC share was nearly 50% with 476 existing pumps. Bharat Petroleum and Hindustan Petroleum had market share of 25% each in the state. (January 15, 2009)
